Jinan Alands Plastic Co., Ltd. recently completed a shipment of plastic sheets to the Philippines. The products were loaded together in a 20GP container, mainly including acrylic sheets and PVC foam boards.
To meet the customer’s different requirements for advertising production, interior decoration, display projects, and furniture manufacturing, multiple specifications of the two materials were consolidated into one container. By properly arranging the sheet sizes, packaging orientation, and loading sequence, we helped the customer control transportation costs while allowing them to replenish several commonly used materials in a single shipment.

The acrylic sheets in this order were manufactured and packaged according to the customer’s requirements. Our standard available specifications are as follows:
Acrylic sheets have a smooth, glossy surface and can easily be scratched by hard objects during sea transportation and handling. Therefore, protective film or protective paper is retained on both sides of each sheet.
The complete packages are then wrapped with plastic film to reduce the effects of dust, moisture, and friction on the sheet surfaces.
For clear acrylic sheets, inspections before shipment focus on visible scratches, impurities, bubbles, color differences, and damaged edges. The actual sheet thickness is also checked to ensure that it meets the order requirements.
The PVC foam boards in this order are mainly intended for advertising, interior decoration, and furniture manufacturing. Our standard available specifications are as follows:
The density of a PVC foam board directly affects its hardness, screw-holding capacity, bending resistance, and overall weight.
Thin boards used for advertising printing can be produced with a relatively low or medium density. Thicker boards used for cabinets, furniture, and structural components require a higher density depending on the load-bearing requirements.
Therefore, a PVC foam board quotation cannot be based on thickness alone. The sheet size, density, surface hardness, production process, and intended application must also be confirmed.
Before loading the container, we carried out the following inspections for this Philippines order:
Confirmed the product names of the acrylic sheets and PVC foam boards;
Checked the length, width, and thickness of the sheets;
Checked whether the density of the PVC foam boards met the order requirements;
Inspected the transparency, color, and surface quality of the acrylic sheets;
Inspected the surface flatness and hardness of the PVC foam boards;
Checked the sheets for scratches, damage, warping, or obvious color differences;
Verified the packaged quantity of each specification;
Checked the protective film, outer packaging, and corner protection;
Confirmed the packaging labels and customer order information;
Checked whether the inside of the container was dry, clean, and suitable for loading;
Checked the weight distribution and securing straps after loading;
Took loading photographs and retained complete shipment records.
Quantity verification is particularly important for mixed-container shipments. Products with different materials, thicknesses, and densities must be counted and recorded separately to prevent specification confusion after the customer receives the goods.
The acrylic sheets and PVC foam boards in this shipment can be used in several common application fields in the Philippine market.
Acrylic sheets can be used for illuminated letters, advertising light boxes, shop signs, and display stands.
PVC foam boards can be used for advertising printing, sign backboards, exhibition panels, and promotional display walls.
Clear acrylic sheets are suitable for producing cosmetic display stands, mobile phone display stands, counter partitions, and product display racks.
PVC foam boards can be used for temporary exhibition booths, background panels, and interior shop decoration.
Higher-density PVC foam boards can be used for bathroom cabinets, kitchen cabinets, storage cabinets, and indoor furniture components.
They are especially suitable for environments where moisture resistance is required.
PVC foam boards can be used for interior partitions, wall decoration, ceilings, and decorative panels.
Acrylic sheets can be used for transparent partitions, decorative lighting structures, and specially shaped decorative components.
For customers in the Philippines who need to purchase both acrylic sheets and PVC foam boards, we can calculate a suitable 20GP or 40HQ loading plan based on the product sizes, thicknesses, densities, quantities, and intended applications.
This helps customers reduce both the purchasing cost per sheet and the overall sea freight cost.
